As my first posting on the New Tactics website I thought I would take the opportunity to introduce myself to you, the New Tactics Community. My name is Brent Jensen and I am delighted to begin work as the Online Community Coordinator for New Tactics.
I come to New Tactics having spent the past three years working for a non-profit organization focused on promoting international understanding and respect through educational, cultural, and humanitarian activities. In this position I worked with a network of international community groups, developed programming, and planned global events. I hold a master’s degree in global and international education from Drexel University and bachelor degrees in journalism and mass communication, as well as graphic design from Drake University.
My role with New Tactics will consist of managing the New Tactics website, engaging with you the New Tactics Community, and filling the very big shoes of the departing Kristin Antin. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you, to learn from you, and to find innovative new ways to grow the New Tactics program.
In that spirit of innovation, I ask you to take a moment to reflect on your interactions with New Tactics. Read the questions below as a starting point for discussion and provide your thoughts in the comment section below. Thank you!
What New Tactics resources have you utilized in the past year? How have you used these resources?
- Online Conversation – Participated
- Online Conversation – Summary
- Tactical Case Study
- Strategy Toolkit
- Collection of Tactics (Book)
What do you need New Tactics to provide you for our online presence to be an invaluable resource center?
What are you looking to gain from ongoing involvement in an online human rights community?
We want to continue to be your go-to source for human rights support. Help us to help you in your global human rights work.
