|Emily Hutchinson | Program Manager|
|Emily leads the global New Tactics program and is responsible for strategic planning, development and management. Emily is an attorney with significant management experience in the U.S., Middle East, North Africa, and the Balkans. Emily has worked with governments and civil society organizations on a wide range of human rights, transitional justice, and post-conflict governance issues.
Emily previously served as Counsel at the Public International Law and Policy Group, as well as the regional program coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Businesswomen’s Network. Emily has also managed campaigns for state-wide election and served as the first executive director of Mill City Commons, a non-profit health and wellness organization headquartered in Minneapolis. Emily holds a J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, an M.A. in Middle East Studies and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, and a B.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University.
|Brent Jensen | Digital Project Developer|
|Brent Jensen, online engagement coordinator for New Tactics in Human Rights at the Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) is responsible for overseeing the program’s online presence, including website, social media channels, online community, web applications and e-learning platform. Brent holds a master’s degree in global and international education from Drexel University and bachelor’s degrees in journalism and mass communication, as well as graphic design, from Drake University.|
|Lisa Peterson-de la Cueva | Training Officer|
Lisa Peterson-de la Cueva brings significant experience in training facilitation and advocacy within intercultural contexts. Most recently, Lisa led training and education for Community Technology Empowerment Project at St. Paul Neighborhood Network and annually supervised and trained 35 AmeriCorps members in a social justice curricula. Previously, Lisa conducted trainings in citizen journalism and adult basic education with immigrant communities in Minnesota, and also coordinated volunteers at American Jewish World Service in New York. Lisa has an MA in journalism and mass communications from the University of Minnesota, MS in teaching from Pace University and BA in History from Barnard College at Columbia University.
|Nancy Pearson | Training Manager|
|Nancy is responsible for creating curriculum and training techniques to bring New Tactics in Human Rights methodologies for strategic and tactical thinking to a variety of audiences worldwide. Nancy has a wide array of experience in non-profit work doing social work, community organizing, and the training of human rights activists. Nancy has a master's degree in social work from UC-Berkeley and bachelors of social work and and sociology from Augsburg College.|

|Noor Zada | MENA Director|
|Noor has more than 13 years’ experience in the NGO sector, she joined New Tactics in Human Rights since 2014 and her first role was MENA Training Manager later she moved to be the MENA Manager and now she is the MENA Director, since then she has been responsible for the strategic planning, fundraising and management of our work in the Middle East and North Africa region. Prior to joined New Tactics Noor served for eight years as a Trainer and Senior Program Officer at Partners-Jordan, a Jordanian non-governmental organization. Noor has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Jordan.|
|Ayman Malhis | MENA Digital Media Coordinator|
|Ayman has joined New Tactics MENA in February 2018 as MENA Digital Media Coordinator he is responsible for overseeing the program’s online presence in Arabic, including website, social media channels, online community, and recently he was part of the team responsible for developing The Tactical Mapping Tool (TMT) which is as tool that visualize human relationships surrounding complex problems. In addition to the e-learning course. Malhis holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Amman al Ahliyya University.|
|Mariam Hudaib | MENA Trainer|
|Mariam is the MENA Junior Trainer at The New Tactics, she is assisting the Lead Trainer in developing training materials and supporting him in facilitating the training sessions. In addition to her role in training, she is also working closely with Monitoring and Evaluation department, as her previous experience was mainly in monitoring and evaluation projects. Prior to this, Mariam worked in IMPACT Initiatives as a Project Officer, she was responsible of remotely managing the field staff inside Syria. Mariam holds B.A in English Language and Literature from Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts.|
|Omar Altabakha | MENA Training Manager|
|Omar has joined the team of New Tactics MENA in February 2016 as a MENA Associate Trainer then was promoted to be MENA Lead Trainer then Omar worked his way through to become the MENA Training Manager. Omar develops and conducts complete training programs on advocacy using the five steps methodology for strategic effectiveness in many countries within the MENA region. Omar also manages and implements processes that enable our trainers to build and coach a growing network of trainers in the MENA region. Omar has a Master’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Technology, Sydney.|
