Rachel co-founded GlobalGiving's UK organisation and she leads programs that help nonprofits, companies and foundations make a genuine and sustained difference in people’s lives. She is passionate about challenging the status quo and exploring new ways of working. Previously, Rachel worked for local government, in marketing, and as an archaeologist specialising in later prehistory. She holds an MA  in Archaeology from Cardiff Universityand a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Birbeck University, London. She has been involved in the voluntary sector, with a particular fondness for fundraising - she organized her first fundraising event age seven!

GlobalGiving supports community-driven organisations to thrive through providing access to funding, networks and knowledge. We work across sectors mobilising resources from individuals, business, institutions and foundations. In the aftermath of a disaster, GlobalGiving connects people to be able to give tovetted, locally driven organizations that will remain in communities for the long haul. Even though the news has stopped covering the earthquakes in Nepal, the West African Ebola outbreak, or the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, our local partners are still hard at work driving recovery.
