Having grown up in the Twin Cities, I moved to the Netherlands after graduating from Stillwater Area High School in 2006. In 2009 I received my BA (honors) from University College Utrecht (Universiteit Utrecht) in Political Science and International Law. Starting in the autumn of 2009 I will begin an LLM in the International Law of Human Rights and Criminal Justice from Universiteit Utrecht. My research interests lie in the intersection of international relations and international human rights, the moral and ethic implications of human rights, the relation between human rights and the environmental movement, and most recently, the role of private business in human rights.
