Jason is a relief and development professional with over 15 years experience in the nonprofit, private and government sectors. He has worked for and advised international and national non-governmental agencies, federal, state and local governments, and large grant making philanthropies on topics including disaster preparedness and relief, healthcare capacity building, educational and technological infrastructure, and community-focussed program design, management and evaluation. He has served as a member on United Nations technical committees, the State of California's Emergency Healthcare Preparedness Task Force and numerous other workgroups. He is especially interested in using the tools of co-creation and design, student innovation, and impact investing to empower at-risk communtities and promote resiliency. Jason has an AB in Human Biology from Stanford University and a Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology from Columbia University. He did post-graduate work at RAND and is a certified Biomimicry Design Specialist.
