The Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW) was established in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1993 and has been working over the last 25 years to advance women’s and young people’s health and rights throughout the region, in collaboration with other women’s rights organizations, youth-led and youth-serving organizations as well as health NGOs. ARROW occupies a strategic niche in Asia-Pacific region and globally as a South-based, women-led organisation that has a women’s health and rights focus and with a gender just, human rights and feminist lens.

ARROW utilises interlinked programmes for evidence generation, constituency building, community mobilisation, information and communications, advocacy and organisational development. ARROW works on issues of sexual and reproductive health and rights and also looks at the intersectionality of SRHR with other issues, such as poverty, food security and sovereignty, climate change, disability, conflict and religion and others in order to achieve SRHR for all.

We have consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) of the United Nations. We work closely with many national partners in countries, regional and global networks around the world, and are able to reach stakeholders in 120 countries.
