Amira worked in the non-profit youth sector for eight years, in the business sector for five years, and has engaged in consultancy for over a decade. She is  an Independent Consultant who successfully engaged in a number of collaborative policies research projects, developed training materials and delivered workshops in Youth Empowerment, Civil Society enhancement, NGOs capacity building projects and building knowledge based societies through Civil Society Organizations (CSO).

Amira is the Co-Founder of “WuPy Culture of Peace Initiative". The idea was to organize a Campaign for young people in the world to express their opinions in writing (articles, Blogging and poetry from young people), art gallery for artistic expression and Podcast about Culture of Peace. The Campaign benefited from the spread of using the Internet and the ease of communication it provides. Now the Campaign is implemented yearly and had several activities on the ground in different countries.

Amira is a part of different street movements in Egypt, for example she is engaged to "TAG" and "ACE Initiative" both supported by CIDA and COADY institute to gather different activists and organizations in a network about Active Citizenship Engagement for Good Governance, also  the "Global Power Shift" movement and "Sallmyia Movement" (in English: Peace Movement".

A Law graduate, Amira studied and lived in Egypt and obtained Higher Diploma in Financial and Economic Science” –Faculty of Law- Alexandria University –Egypt, in addition to different technical courses abroad in the scope of Youth Empowerment and Civil Society enhancement

As a  a researcher and trainer, I nternational Trainer for both TOT and young people in youth empowerment and UN projects:
• UNDP-ictdar Training – Jordan: TOT training for the new involved countries in "MY TecC"
• UNDP-ictdar Training – Lebanon : "The Partnership for Lebanon launches TAWASOL, the “Summer ICT Boot Camp for Youth”

she has successfully engaged in a number of collaborative policy research projects, developed training materials and delivered workshops in youth empowerment and building knowledge based societies through SCO. led by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the paper discussed in a UN summit which is the World Summit on Information Society, Bibliotheca Alexandria, and in the youth panel of Cairo ICT 2005, Mapping for Change- Kenya 2005 .

She has six published papers (Reports and case studies):

- The Egyptian women in the Egyptian Agricultural.

Her last position was a Project Coordinator at COSPE Egypt (Italian Cooperation for the Development of Emerging Countries – COSPE) as Civic Education and The Promotion of Human Rights Project Coordinator, entitled by the Project Manager responsibilities.

Amira lives in Egypt, married and has one son.
