Powerful Persuasion in Cameroon

The New Tactics in Human Rights, through a grant provided by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), was able to provide eight grants in 2007-08 to organizations using New Tactics resources and tools to further their efforts. We are very proud to feature the wonderful work that they have been doing.

Our grant recipients at the Cameroon Trauma Center have been using New Tactics to build and strengthen relationships with Allies. Working with several women's organizations, they looked at the tactic Powerful Persuasion, out of Ghana, and developed creative and innovative ways to solve the problems of early marriage and lack of education for young girls.

In addition, New Tactics is pleased to announce that the NED has awarded the New Tactics project with another grant for 2008-09. An announcement will be posted in the near future regarding the grant application process. Watch this space for news of the accomplishments of the other 2007-08 grantees.
