The Featured Online Dialogue in January will feature 'Election Monitoring'. We will look at the relationship between international and national monitors. We will also discuss the new and unique challenges that now face these practitioners, and the innovative solutions that have been developed. Election Monitor practitioners will share their experiences, challenges, successes, and resources with their colleagues in the field and the New Tactics online community of human rights practitioners.

I am new to New Tactics, but I have just finished reading the fascinating dialogue about using theatre for human rights education and action, and I wonder if we could have a similar dialogue about using fiction for human rights education and action.

The November New Tactics on-line dialogue features “Human Rights in Higher Education: Incorporating practical experience”. This dialogue specifically features ideas, experiences and methods from human rights higher education programs for incorporating practical experience into human rights curriculums to better prepare human rights advocates for doing “on the ground” and “in the trenches” human rights work.
